The industry-tracking firm NPD Group has released the sales chart for the month of January in the US and Kingdom Hearts III was the top selling-game for January. According to NPD, this is the first time that a Kingdom Hearts franchise topped the charts since April 2006. It’s also a record-breaking for the franchise as Kingdom Hearts III makes 2.5 times more than Kingdom Hearts II released. Following the Disney action-adventure video game was Capcom‘s Resident Evil 2. The remake made three times more than the original game in 1998.
